Crescendo Club is teaming up with symphony musicians and Governing Members for the annual Scavenger Hunt at the Schermerhorn!  

See the Schermerhorn in a way you never have before as your team explores the many levels of our building in search for clues. At the end of the hunt we'll have live music and an awesome reception waiting for you!

Invitations will be sent to Crescendo Club members in March!

Volunteer Opportunity - Reach for the Stars!

Crescendo Club is seeking six volunteers to assist with pre-concert activities such as arts and crafts and an instrument petting zoo. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Schermerhorn at 1PM for orientation with the volunteer hour running from 2-3 PM. Interactions with volunteers will serve as a valuable part of attendees' unique concert experience, so we appreciate any time and efforts you would be able to provide!

Volunteer Opportunity - Accelerando Auditions

Crescendo club is seeking volunteers to assist with upcoming live auditions for the Fall 2017 class of the Accelerando program. Founded in 2016, Accelerando is an intensive education program designed to prepare gifted young students of diverse backgrounds to pursue music at the collegiate level and beyond. Accelerando seeks to create professional opportunities for young musicians from ethnic communities underrepresented in today’s orchestras by providing them with instruction, mentorship, performance experience, and assistance with applying to music schools.

Lunch and Learn featuring Aaron Jay Kernis, Jonathan Leshnoff, Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero and more

Learn about the Nashville Symphony’s award-winning recording projects, and find out how composer, orchestra and record label collaborate to keep classical music fresh and relevant for contemporary audiences. Jonathan Leshnoff and Aaron Jay Kernis will discuss their compositions to be recorded November 17-19 at Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and Kelly Voigt, senior manager of PR and media for the world’s largest independent classical label, will talk about Naxos’ prolific, award-winning partnership with the Nashville Symphony. Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero and recording engineer Tim Handley will share their insights into the recording process as well.
