On Saturday, March 25th, the Nashville Symphony will be holding a very special event catering to children and adults with autism and other sensory sensitivities. "Reach for the Stars—a Sensory Friendly Concert" will feature music by John Williams, Beethoven, and more, with flexible seating, "no shushing," quiet spaces, and other unique features to create a sensory friendly experience.
Crescendo Club is seeking six volunteers to assist with pre-concert activities such as arts and crafts and an instrument petting zoo. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Schermerhorn at 1PM for orientation with the volunteer hour running from 2-3 PM. Interactions with volunteers will serve as a valuable part of attendees' unique concert experience, so we appreciate any time and efforts you would be able to provide!
Due to the nature of this event, the Symphony has asked that volunteers attend one of two training sessions taking place from 12-1 PM on March 2 and March 7. Training will take place in the Curb Room of the Schermerhorn, and lunch will be provided! Parking passes will be provided for both the training and the concert.
Please click HERE to RSVP for this event by February 27th
Following the volunteer hour on March 25th, join your fellow volunteers for a coffee or a drink at the Southern, compliments of Crescendo Club!
